Thank you for your reply!

I wish I could provide some help for Renpy, but I do not have any experience with it.

I will say, the "Romance" does not feel out of place.
To me, it feels like the "Romance" happen always at a time where it is appropriate, like when you visit the town, you can be with one specific Character.
Like I said, I played a lot of Visual Novel, and some were more Romance focus, some were less, but sometime the romance could feel forced, and sometime it could be too much, and it would become annoying.

The way it is done in this Visual Novel is very well done, so well done that it is why people feel like there is "Romance" in this game.
I gave the idea of those "Extra Chapters", because after playing furry visual novel, and non furry visual novel, you always have comment asking about the romance "Why is there no romance?", or "Please make those Character romanceable!", that I just gave the idea so that The Creator could avoid those types of comments.

Again, romance or not, I don't really care.
I really love this visual novel, and I want to see the rest of it.

I'm not the type of person that is very active on Discord...I'm only in a few servers, and I rarely speak, but I will still join it.
Fanart, I do not have any talent in drawing, so... yeah... Sorry...
Fanfic, it's been years since I did write any fanfics, and to be honest... I don't know, if I want to do this again... I will think about it.

I already talk about this game to some of my friends. They said they will give a try, when they have the time.

Okay, I finally finish all 3 chapters, and I thought that I will make a small review. I will try to keep this review spoiler-free.

I remember seeing this game a long time ago, and I was curious about it, but not being able to understand Chinese made it impossible for me to play. I was very happy when I saw that we finally got an english translation. I will cut this review into section, to make it easier to read... I will try. (Promise!)

Story : A very promising story! I don't want to say much, because I don't want to spoil anything, but... I will say that, it's been a while since I play a furry visual novel that got me this much interest in his story.

Characters : I really like the characters. Tex our protagonist is really good, and I really like visual novels where the protagonist is his own character, and not some... empty... protagonist that I'm suppose to insert myself into, because in 99% of the time it doesn't work. For the others Characters, I found all of them being very interesting, and very well written.

Something that even surprises me is that, when I first saw the Character of Mo Xia, I thought I wasn't going to like him, because... well... A bit Tsundere, and he's a perfectionist, two things... that I don't like. Tsundere because... a very common type of character that most of the time for me is just annoying to me.
Perfectionist... For more personal reason, that I do not wish to speak about, but after playing the game, and doing some of the choices to pass more time with him, I actually start to like the character more, and he even became my favorite character.
If people are curious : Mo Xia, Tex, Bai Yu, Kerlno, Chen Hu my order from my most favorite to least favorite.
I could make more wall of text to explain my feelings about each character, but... It will be very long, so... To make it short. All of them are very interesting, and very well written.

Art: Okay... The art... Is just amazing! You can fill all the love put into the game. All characters are very well drawn, the character's outfits are very good, and the CGs are very good. The use of CGs is also very good, it helps to make some scene more impactful, in some visual novels you will sometimes get like 5 to 6 CGs for a fight, and to some visual novels you get none, which doesn't help if the writing does not make it interesting.
For those who play Chapter 3... The use of CGs in this chapter made it so amazing. That you really feel like you are actually watching things playing out in front of you.

Music: Not much to say about this... It's good.

Okay, now... I want to talk about two things.

During my playthrough, I met two problems.

One : at the end of the bath scene, my game crash, and I had to play the scene again, and this time everything was fine.
Something I notice, it seems the scene is supposed to end, when the music ends, which seems to also cut off the CGs at the same time, and it may be the reason why the game crash after this, because I realize when looking at the Gallery that they were some CGs of the bath scene that I didn't saw, it could be my computer, but I also met this problem on another computer to test this out.

Two : During some scene transition, sometimes the sound will become loud, and play some sound that I could describe it as the type of sound you put in the background when you want to make the illusion of multiple people talking in the background, then the message... which I assume is saying 'auto saving' appear, and it's gone, and the sound is back to normal.

Another thing, I want to talk about which... I know some people in the comment already talk or ask about it, and it may become annoying to hear about this again, but... I want to share my opinion... Sorry.

The romance... I understand that the creator wants to focus more on an adventure story, than a romance one, and I fine with this. I love the story for his world, the characters... but... why so many scenes imply possible romance then... why we have a character in chapter 3 saying "Are you two in a relationship?".

The way I see it, is that the creator did this, because he knew that some people were going to ask for romance, and decide to do those scenes to please them, but... at the end... if it doesn't lead to anything, you can have some people being fine with it, but you can also have some people being not fine with it. If the creator doesn't want to make romance in the game, it's fine, but if he still want to it, to please the people playing this game for possible romance without impacting the Main chapters. The creator could make some sort of Extra chapters that you unlock at the end of the game on the title screen. In those Extra chapters you could make a romance with one specific character, and at the end they could be in a relationship. To unlock those extra chapters, you will... for one have to finish the game, and two had to trigger all the flags? Choices? Route? of one specific character during the game, which also will force players to replay the game, and make different choices, if they want to see those extra chapters.

Okay... This was longer that I thought... I did said "small review"...  I'm sorry.
Thank you for reading this, again all of this is my personal thought, and I'm okay with people not agreeing with me. I hope this review was at least interesting, sorry if my English is not perfect as a French speaker, I can still make some mistake. Thank you for making just a very good visual novel, and I can't wait to see the rest of the story!

Seems very promising! Really love your art!
Fen is so cute, and arcanine being one of my favorite pokemon makes me so excited for the rest of the game.
Kinda hope to see Entei, Solgaleo, and Giratina as future romance characters, or at least would love to see them draw in your style, but with all the possible mons, I guess you must have a list of what pokemon are going to be in this game.

Thanks for your help!

Go to the Oni Island, and inside one of the houses, there will ba a sleeping oni, talk to him, and there you go.
Also, wind, and water ask for me to cook... Where can I cook, if it's not in your own house?! I mean... do I have to use somebody else kitchen?

(1 edit)

Thanks!
Now, It's time for the Wind, and Water one. Two more to go, and I have them all.

Can someone gave me a hint?
I'm doing the quest where I need to find new cores. I'm looking for a portal at Snowver, where Ives told me, but... I can't find it... Is it really in Snowver, or somewhere else near Snowver?

Found a small bug, when I try to give the dusk gem to the elder the screen become black, and it remain black even after the conversation. I was able to go to  moon path, but it didn't change anything. I try multiple time, but it always the same.

The game is still a lot of fun to play, but with this bug, I can't continue. I guess... The game is telling me to take a break?

Oh Thanks!
I'm glad... I thought it was maybe a small bug, but no.

I just finish playing the new demo, and I had a lot of re-playing it. Can't want to play the full game.
Since, I like to do everything in games, I wanted to finish all side-quest, but... for Choi's quest, where I need to kill the red-eyes monster in Froxeter. I try to find him in the forest, but I don't find him.
Can we finish this quest in the demo? Or I'm just completely blind, and didn"t saw him?
